About Longevity Training · Mt. Pleasant, SC

We don't guess
what your body needs.

Every program here starts with a full movement screen, not a template and not an assumption about your age. Jesse Covele built this gym around one group of people — adults 50 and older — and one rule: nothing gets programmed until it has been measured.

Everything on this page is why.

Why this gym exists

I watched my dad lose strength he did not have to lose.

Jesse grew up one of six kids in Australia. He danced professionally, then coached his sister to a Golden Gloves title and into a professional boxing career. Training was already his life when his father was diagnosed with motor neuron disease.

He sat in on the sessions. He watched good clinicians push volume that the research did not support for that condition, and he watched his father lose the use of the muscle groups they were working. His dad passed in his mid-fifties.

That is where the rules of this gym come from. Screen before you program. Stay inside your scope. Let the data decide, not the ego. In South Carolina you do not legally need a single qualification to call yourself a trainer — so Jesse went the other direction and became the most certified Functional Movement Systems trainer in the region.

“What happened to my father should not happen to anyone else’s. That is the whole reason I only work with adults over 50.”

The standard we hold

Four rules that decide everything we do with you

Screen before you program

Every client starts with a full Functional Movement Screen — the same system used by NFL franchises, NBA teams and Doctors of Physical Therapy. It is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. It shows us where you actually are.

Stay inside our scope

We are certified trainers, not clinicians, and we do not pretend otherwise. Where clinical input is needed we work alongside your Doctor of Physical Therapy and your dietitian — not instead of them.

Measure it, then say it

Screen scores, range of motion, lifts, body composition. You get an analytical goal review so progress is something you can see on paper, not something you have to take on faith.

Train the person, not the age

A big toolbox means we meet you where you are instead of where the trainer’s favourite style is. You are not fragile and you are not a number on a birth certificate.

We are not for everyone. On purpose.

This is built for you if

This is not for you if

We would rather tell you that on a free call than six weeks into a program. Longevity is the game: we move well before we move often.

Frequently Asked Questions

No one here has to guess at it. The screen measures your joints, your asymmetries and your movement quality directly, and everything after that is built from your numbers. Jesse has spent years training this age group exclusively, and has taught the staff of competing gyms weekly. Coach Lisa Giglio has eleven years coaching adults over fifty, a Master’s in Exercise Science and the CSCS. Between them, your program is built by two coaches who have already seen your situation, and reviewed together before you start it.

The gym is newer. The credentials are not. No other trainer within 30 miles holds more than one FMS certification; Jesse holds eight. Lisa holds a Master’s in Exercise Science, the CSCS and the CISSN. Smaller also means two credentialed coaches on your program instead of a rotating floor staff, in a room that never has forty people in it.

Because you are not buying an hour of supervision. You are buying a full screen, a program built from it, access to a registered dietitian, the Symmio mobility app, 24/7 gym access and a coach who re-tests you instead of guessing. Clients pay weekly, so there is no contract holding you in.

Usually yes, and we will want to talk to your Doctor of Physical Therapy. We work alongside clinical care rather than around it, and we stay inside our scope as trainers. Bring your clearance to the consult and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do.

Most clients notice something in the first two to three weeks — usually because we have identified what was actually driving the problem and started addressing it directly. Strength and movement changes that hold tend to show over two to three months, and we re-score the screen so you can see it rather than feel your way through it.

Parking runs throughout the complex and there is always a space. Coached hours run 5am to 9pm, Monday to Saturday, so most clients pick a slot either side of the traffic — and members have 24/7 access on top of that.

The mission on the wall

Transform 1,000 lives over 50

Not in a shallow sense. People who stopped believing their body could change, and then watched it change. People who got their independence back and stopped bracing for the next injury.

Adults 50+ across Mt. Pleasant, Hamlin Plantation, Carolina Park, Rivertowne and Park West, and online across South Carolina. One session at a time. We are building toward it every day.

20 minutes. No training, no equipment, no sales pitch.

Come find out where you
actually are.

We listen to your history, your goals and what has been holding you back, and together we work out the next step. Whether you train with us or not, you leave knowing more than you walked in with.
