Injured before? Had surgery?
We'll help you come back stronger than before

You didn’t get weaker. You got careful. Years of working around an old injury, a surgery, a knee that complains — and the training that would actually fix it is the training everyone told you to avoid.

That isn’t a fitness problem. It’s a foundation problem, and every session on top of a broken foundation makes it worse. So we do it in a different order: understand the body first, then train it. Hard.

Here is what that buys you.

Build strength week to week without getting injured

Move pain-free without morning stiffness

Keep up with golf, pickleball, and travel

Look like you take care of yourself

Core strength and steady balance

Strong legs, no flare-ups

Meet The Founder,
Jesse Covele

“I watched my dad lose strength he did not have to lose. That set the direction of my life. I came up as a professional dancer, then spent years coaching retired elite military personnel and combat athletes, and I built one of the most comprehensive FMS certification profiles in South Carolina: 8 certifications across FMS, SFMA, Y Balance, and Functional Capacity Screening — the most within a 100-mile radius.

No other trainer within 30 miles holds more than one. I point all of it at one group of people: adults 50 and older. The mission is written on the wall: transform 1,000 lives over age 50.” — Jesse Covele, Founder

We send a lot of PT patients

“I have yet to meet a more capable personal trainer than Jesse. He is one of the smartest and thorough people and truly cares about his clients. He personalizes each visit and will modify exercises based on your needs. We send a lot of patients finishing up with physical therapy to him specifically. He has more knowledge and is truly impressive.”

Saw increase in strength and endurance

“Jesse has been working with my husband and me for over a year and we have seen much progress in our strength and endurance. We have worked with a few trainers in the past but Jesse has such a strong knowledge of what is needed for each individual whether for age, past injuries or mobility and he continues to study to offer the best help to his clients. He has made training not just productive but fun and I thought I would never say that! He is not only excellent in his work but a quality person.”

From chronic pain to fitness

“I am 62 years old, and hiring Jesse as my personal fitness trainer has truly changed my life. Following a lower back surgery in the spring of 2023, I was trapped in a cycle of chronic pain. For an entire year, I went to physical therapy three times a week. Neither the surgeries nor the therapy brought relief. I was simply told, “If it hurts, don’t do it.” My neighbor referred me to Jesse, and he has been an absolute blessing.  He proactively collaborated with my new physical therapist and solved my neck and shoulder issues.”

Gail S.

Stronger in my 60s than my 30s

“I have been working with Jesse and his team for almost a year with spectacular results. I am stronger in my late 60’s that I was in my 30’s. Jesse and the team truly care about my health and overall wellbeing. Should I have an ache or pain we work on fixing that while still maintaining growth. South Carolina is lucky to have one of the most comprehensively trained fitness guru.”

Helped us recover from surgery

“Jesse has been critical to the physical (and mental) well-being for both my wife and me. His in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, combined with an insatiable thirst for more knowledge made him perfect to help a couple of 60-year olds get in shape. My wife and I were recovering from multiple orthopedic surgeries and we simply could not be where we are today without someone who understands exactly what these surgeries affect, but more importantly, how to modify exercises to ensure we regain strength AND mobility & balance.”

W

Wes S.

Built strength in my arms and legs

“Jesse is amazing! I started going to him a few months ago after hip replacement. I have lost a few pounds of fat and gained a few pounds of muscle. My arms and legs are so much stronger and toner, and my balance is back. I love the 1 on 1 personal attention. So thankful for this program, and the great results.”

Frequently Asked Questions

If yours isn’t here, call 843-396-0126 and ask us directly.

Longevity Training is a personal training studio in North Mt. Pleasant, SC working exclusively with adults 50 and older. Every client begins with a free 20-minute consult, a short conversation where we listen and work together to identify your starting point. Then the On-Ramp: a full Functional Movement Screen that identifies movement imbalances and weaknesses before any training begins. We build every program around those findings, working within our scope as a certified training team and alongside the client’s Physical Therapist where relevant.

Yes, and this is precisely who Longevity Training was built for. The Functional Movement Screen identifies movement weaknesses and imbalances before any training begins. Many of our clients in Mt. Pleasant came in with chronic back pain, knee problems, post-surgical histories, or injuries they’d been working around for years. The program addresses those things directly.

A free conversation with Jesse or Lisa. No training, no equipment, no pressure to commit. We listen to your history and together you work out where you are right now and what the best next step looks like. No cost. No obligation.

Because building a training program without a movement screen is guesswork. The On-Ramp is two weeks and four private sessions with Jesse or Lisa. Your On-Ramp coach runs your full Functional Movement Screen and identifies movement imbalances and weaknesses. Our coaches then build your program from what they find, together. The FMS is a screening tool, not a clinical diagnosis. We work within our scope as a certified training team and alongside your Physical Therapist where relevant. Every session after the On-Ramp is built on something real, not assumption.

Two credentialed coaches, not one trainer with one certificate. Founder Jesse Covele holds one of the most comprehensive FMS certification profiles in South Carolina, eight certifications including FMS, SFMA, Y Balance Testing, and Functional Capacity Screening, the most within a 100-mile radius. No other personal trainer within 30 miles holds more than one FMS certification. Coach Lisa Giglio holds a Master’s in Exercise Science, the CSCS from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the CISSN in sports nutrition, with eleven years coaching adults over fifty. The FMS and SFMA are used extensively by Doctors of Physical Therapy, and we bring that same movement screening approach to a training environment. Every client starts with a full movement screen, and every program is built by our coaches together. Longevity Training works exclusively with adults 50 and older.

Yes. Online personal training is available for adults 50 and older. Online clients complete the On-Ramp remotely and receive the same individualized program as in-person clients.

The exact number depends on what your movement screen shows, so we confirm it in your consult.

Longevity Training is at 1039 SC-41, North Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466, at the intersection of Highway 41 and Highway 17. 24/7 gym access for members. Parking throughout the shopping complex.

Directly, yes. The most common performance barriers for golfers and pickleball players over 50 are movement restrictions and weaknesses that also build injury risk, exactly what the Functional Movement Screen identifies. When those patterns are corrected and strength is built on a solid foundation, rotation improves, power increases, and injury risk drops. Several of our current clients in Mt. Pleasant train specifically around their sport.

The On-Ramp starts exactly where you are, not where a standard program assumes you should be. The movement screen tells us what your body is actually capable of right now. No experience required.

For most adults over 50, two to three sessions of strength training per week is the right starting point, though the honest answer is that it depends on your movement screen, your recovery, and what you’re building toward. The On-Ramp tells us exactly where you are and what your body can handle right now. We build the frequency from there, not from a general guideline.

Yes, with the right foundation. Strength training with meaningful resistance is one of the most effective things an adult over 50 can do for bone density, muscle preservation, and injury resilience. The key is that movement quality and foundation have to be right first. That’s what the On-Ramp is for. We screen how you move, address the weaknesses, and then progressively increase the load, so the weight is always appropriate for where your body actually is.

It is one of the most well-supported approaches to healthy ageing. Senior weight training helps preserve muscle mass, improve bone density, reduce injury risk, maintain balance, and support long-term independence. The important distinction is that it needs to be built on a proper movement foundation, which is exactly what we screen for before any training begins at Longevity Training.

Two to three times per week is a widely supported starting point for adults over 50, but the right answer depends on your current fitness, your movement screen, how you recover, and your goals. We assess all of that in the On-Ramp before building your training schedule. The goal is always consistency over intensity: a frequency you can sustain and build from.

Stop guessing.
Find out what's actually going on.

One free conversation. We listen to your history, your goals, and what has been holding you back, and together we work out your next step. If you do start, your movement score improves in 90 days or we train you free until it does.

20 minutes. No training, no equipment, no sales pitch. You leave with a clear direction either way.
