Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers, including the ones about money and the ones we could dodge. If yours is not here, call us — we would rather tell you on the phone than have you guess.
Getting started
We ask about your history, your injuries and what you want back. No training, no equipment, no cost. You leave with a clear direction whether you join or not.
No. The screen exists precisely so we can meet you where you are. Come in whatever shape you are in — the score is a starting point, not a test you can fail.
Yes. Every program, progression and recovery expectation here is built for adults 50 and older. It is the whole reason the coaching is as specific as it is.
Jesse’s book is full. Coach Lisa has room for roughly 12 clients at two to three sessions a week, and that is the honest number — when it is gone there is a waitlist rather than a rushed program.
The screen
A standardised set of movements, scored, used by NFL franchises, NBA teams and Doctors of Physical Therapy. It shows imbalances, asymmetries and weaknesses so we can build a program that addresses them rather than working around them blindly.
No, and we are careful about that line. FMS and SFMA are movement screening tools, not clinical diagnoses. If what you need is clinical, we say so and work alongside your Doctor of Physical Therapy rather than in place of them.
No, and experienced lifters are often the ones it helps most. Years of working around an old injury leave patterns that feel normal from the inside and show up immediately on the screen.
In South Carolina you do not legally need a single qualification to call yourself a personal trainer. Between our two coaches you get eight certifications including FMS Level 1 and 2, SFMA Level 1 and 2, Y Balance Testing and Functional Capacity Screening, held by founder Jesse Covele and the most within a 100-mile radius, alongside a Master’s in Exercise Science, the CSCS and the CISSN held by Coach Lisa Giglio. It is the difference between a credentialed team interpreting your screen and someone guessing at it.
Injuries and surgery
Usually yes. Bring your clearance to the consult. We screen you, coordinate with your Doctor of Physical Therapy, and tell you honestly what we can and cannot work on. More on training after surgery.
Generally yes, and private sessions are usually the right starting point so we can watch every rep. We screen first, we do not diagnose, and if what you need is clinical we will say so.
With your permission, yes, directly. Coordinating with your DPT is one of the few things that genuinely separates us, and it means your clinical care and your training stop pulling in different directions.
No. Hard and painful are different things, and we train for the first one. If a movement is not right for you today we change it that day — and your screen usually told us before you did.
Training with us
About an hour, including your check-in, mobility preparation, the training itself, and logging what you did before you leave.
Two to four coached days a week depending on your screen and your goals. Most people start at two, add a third once the foundation holds, and do their mobility work on the days between.
Most clients notice something in the first two to three weeks, usually because we have identified what was actually driving the problem. Changes that hold tend to show over two to three months, and we re-score the screen so you can see it rather than guess.
It can be. Sessions with a registered dietitian are available alongside any program, and every client gets the Symmio app for mobility and wellness tracking between sessions.
Yes. Semi-private is capped at four people, you each get your own screen and program, and you simply book the same slot. It is the most common reason people choose it.
Online training covers adults 50+ anywhere in South Carolina, screened by video and coached through a proper platform. More on online training.
Money and terms
Your price comes from your screen. What you pay depends on how often your body actually needs to train, and we confirm the number at your consult.
Because you are not buying an hour of supervision. You are buying a full screen, a program built from it, access to a registered dietitian, the Symmio app, 24/7 gym access and a coach who re-tests you instead of guessing.
No. Clients pay weekly. We do ask for a month in advance if you are away over a holiday period so your slot is still there when you get back.
Give us 24 hours notice and we credit the session to be rescheduled that same month. Full cancellation terms.
Show up for the sessions you book and do your mobility work. On day 90 we re-score you on the same movement screen you started with, and if the number has not moved we keep training you free until it does.
The gym
1039 SC-41, North Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466, in the complex at Highway 41 and Highway 17. Coached hours run 5am to 9pm, Monday to Saturday, and members have 24/7 access on top of that.
Parking runs throughout the complex and there is always a space. Most clients pick a slot either side of the traffic.
Yes. Every program includes 24/7 member access, so you can do your own sessions and your mobility work whenever it suits you.
No. We only take clients 50 and older, so the people you train alongside are in the same stage of life with the same sorts of histories. It is a smaller room, and that is the point.
